The Cutty Sark was built as a tea clipper in 1869. Its owner, John 'Jock' Willis, intended the ship to be the fastest in the annual race to deliver tea from China back to the UK. The history of the ship can be found in the lower decks alongside an extensive collection of ship's figureheads.
